Day 1 Warszawa
Meet your tour guide in the hotel lobby at 6:00 PM for a welcome dinner with a folk show. |
 Day 2 Warszawa
Highlights of your half-day tour include the Old Town, rebuilt with great reverence after World War II, the beautiful Old Market Square, the Barbican and medieval defense walls. Continue to the Jewish Ghetto Memorial dedicated to the victims of Nazi brutality. Visit the Monument of the 1944 Warszawa uprising. Then we drive along the Royal Route, important for its place in Polish history. Next stop is Lazienki Park and its elegant sculpture of Chopin surrounded by rose bushes. After lunch, an excursion to the Wilanow Palace - former residence of Polish kings. Evening Chopin recital in one of the Palaces.
Day 3 Warszawa - Czestochowa - Aushwitz - Zakopane
After breakfast we depart for Zakopane via Cz?stochowa. En route you'll visit the Jasna Gora monastery and its famous shrine which houses the Black Madonna, venerated by some as the “Queen of Poland”. Lunch in Cz?stochowa. Next stop is Oswiecim where we visit the Auschwitz Martyrdom Museum, site of the dreadful Nazi death camp. Continue to Zakopane. |
Day 4 Zakopane - Krak�w
Sightseeing of Zakopane and its quaint wooden architecture. A ride to the top of Mt. Gubalowka provides a breathtaking view of the Tatras. Afternoon raft trip down Dunajec river. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Kraków. |
Day 5 Krak�w - Wieliczka - Krakow
Your morning city tour of Kraków includes the fortified castle and cathedral complex of Wawel Hill, Old Town, and St. Mary's Church with the masterpiece altar carved by Wit Stwosz. In the afternoon, visit Wieliczka Salt Mine, a splendid 3-mile-long underground complex of chambers, chapels and statues sculptured from salt. Dinner with a folklore show at a local restaurant. |
Day 6 Krak�w - Warszawa -Torun
Morning departure for Toru?, a historic town on the banks of the Vistula River. Lunch en route.

Day 7 Torun - Gdynia
A morning city tour of Toru?'s marvelous Gothic architecture includes the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus on St. Anne's Street. Tour the Old Town Square, Town Hall, nearby “Pod Gwiazd?” house, and much more. After lunch, departure for Gdynia. |
Day 8 Gdynia - Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia
Morning tour of Gda?sk, Gdynia and Sopot. The Old Town area of Gda?sk, with its Town Hall, Artus Court, Great Arsenal, St. Mary's Church and lovely burgher's houses, is a masterpiece of post-war reconstruction. Continue to Oliwa for a concert on the cathedral's famous pipe organ. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon free for private exploration and leisure. |
Day 9 Gdynia - Olsztyn
Today we leave for the Mazurian Lake district, one of Poland's favorite vacation areas. Along the way, stop in Malbork, famous for the massive Teutonic Knights' castle one of the best-preserved medieval structures in Central Europe. After lunch continue for Olsztyn. Picnic and overnight in Olsztyn. |
Day 10 Olsztyn - Warszawa
After breakfast, departure for Warszawa. On the way we'll stop in Olsztynek, the site of an outdoor museum of folk architecture. Farewell dinner. |
Day 11 Warszawa
After breakfast: the end of Orbis service.
