MON, NOV 29 - GDANSK (Welcome dinner)
Our flight arrivals will vary throughout the afternoon, so please take the opportunity to relax or explore on your own.
In the evening we will meet for welcome dinner and the chance to meet the rest of the tour group.
TUE, NOV 30 - GDANSK (Breakfast, Dinner with Folklore)
Our morning walking tour of Gdansk will highlight the main sights such as the Golden Gate, the Long Market with its grand mansions decorated with late Renaissance and Baroque facades, the Artus Court, St. Mary's Basilica, and Mariacka Street, with its gabled terraced houses and elegant boutiques, a great place for shopping! After our tour you are free to enjoy the rest of your day exploring the Christmas Market or to visit one of the interesting museums in Gdansk such as the Museum of the Second World War, the European Solidarity Centre, or the Amber Museum. In the evening join us for a fun dinner with local music and folklore.
WED, DEC 1 - GDANSK (Breakfast)
Today is a free day for you to explore Gdansk at your leisure. Enjoy the Christmas Market or explore one or more of the impressive museums that this city has to offer.
THU, DEC 2 - GDANSK – TORUN - POZNAN (Breakfast, Lunch)
We leave Gdansk after breakfast and drive to Torun. Our visit in Torun will include lunch and a short walking tour of this charming medieval town where Nicolaus Copernicus was born. Torun has long been famous for its gingerbread so a visit to the Gingerbread Museum is a lot of fun! You will have free time and then in the late afternoon we continue our drive to Poznan.
FRI, DEC 3 - POZNAN (Breakfast, Dinner)
A brief walking tour will feature Poznan's Old Market Square with it’s charming and colorful merchant houses and Town Hall where you can see one of the most popular symbols of Poznan, the two rams butting heads on the clock of the Town hall daily at 12.00 noon. Poznan is also home to the tasty St. Martin's Croissant, which we will make sure to try during our tour. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure. Perhaps visit the Stary Browar, a unique shopping centre built on the site of an old brewery, featuring many shops, bars, restaurants and art exhibits. In the evening join us for dinner at a local restaurant.
SAT, DEC 4 - POZNAN – WROCLAW (Breakfast)
We leave Poznan late morning and drive to Wroclaw. After settling in to our hotel please join us for a stroll to the market square to savour the magical sights and sounds of Poland's largest Christmas market - the evening is at your leisure.
SUN, DEC 5 - WROCLAW (Breakfast, Dinner)
Wroclaw, the city of bridges - built on 12 islands and connected by 112 bridges! We begin our city walk with the oldest part of the city “Ostrow Tumski” (Cathedral Island), one of the most beautiful and perfectly preserved sacral architecture complexes in Europe. We cross "lover's bridge" and visit the colorful market hall before arriving at the Old Town Market Square where we end our tour. Please remember that Wroclaw is famous for its little “gnomes”, so be careful where you step! Dinner at a local restaurant.
MON, DEC 6 - WROCLAW - CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT FACTORY - BOLESLAWIEC - WROCLAW (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today we will explore the region close to Wroclaw. Our first stop will be in Zlotoryja to visit Europe’s largest glass ornament manufacturer. Touring the factory we will see how the gifted artists create beautiful delicate glass ornaments and then you will decorate your own to take home. Leaving this Christmas wonderland we continue to Boleslawiec, well-known to many of our guests as it is famous for its lovely blue ceramics. We will stop for lunch before visiting and touring one of the ceramic factories.
Free time in Boleslawiec for shopping. Return to Wroclaw early evening.
TUE, DEC 7 - WROCLAW - ZAKOPANE (Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast we leave Wroclaw and drive towards the Tatra Mountains in the southern most part of the country.
In the late afternoon we arrive Zakopane which is a colorful and unique place to visit at any time of the year, but during the Christmas season the Highlander atmosphere is especially delightful. Dinner tonight will be at our hotel.
WED, DEC 8 - ZAKOPANE (Breakfast, Dinner with folklore)
Zakopane is known for its wooden architecture and you will see many examples as we take a drive around Zakopane on a short tour this morning stopping in to visit the quaint wooden chapel at Jaszczurowka and the village of Chocholow. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Make sure to have your Christmas shopping list handy as Zakopane is a great place to pick up unique gifts!
Tonight we enjoy dinner at a local Inn with highlander music and folklore.
THU, DEC 9 - ZAKOPANE – KRAKOW (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today we leave Zakopane in the late morning and travel north to Krakow, the cultural capital of Poland. We will enjoy lunch and then continue to our hotel. After checking in you can join us for a walk to the market square and a visit to the Krakow Historical Museum to view the stunning exhibit of Krakow’s Traditional Christmas Creches, or “Szopki”, one of Europe's most unique Christmas traditions. Spend the rest of the day enjoying Krakow's magical atmosphere.
FRI, DEC 10 - KRAKOW (Breakfast)
Morning walking tour of Krakow includes the Florian’s Gate, the Barbican, Royal Wawel Hill, and the Old Town area with its Market Square, the Cloth Hall, and St. Mary's Church. After the tour the rest of the day is at your leisure.
SAT, DEC 11 - KRAKOW (Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)
Enjoy the last day in Krakow at your leisure shopping for last minute gifts or just relaxing and enjoying the festive atmosphere.
In the evening we invite you to dinner at one of Krakow's finest restaurants for our farewell dinner.
